No responsibilities, no immediate obligations to attend. Just the morning rain, a cup of coffee (or 3), and the day to begin and do as I feel like doing. This is complete wholesome freedom. It does requires a lot of self-control, self-discipline, and a structured work ethic to initially build and sustain, but the rewarding freedom to go where I want to go, do what I want to do, and see who I want to see, in whichever country I feel like living in is the ultimate liberation. This reward is why I wake up in the morning to experience the life I have created throughout the journeys and adventures within my own walk of life.
When a location becomes too dull or dissatisfying, whether that be after several weeks or months, then I am able to pack up and set out to a new destination to experience, grow, network, and build from. Sometimes, that may happen after a few days if I realize the destination I have now set foot on is just a giant metropolitan nightmare, such as it was in the Manila, Philippines. It was a place I could not stay for longer than 2 days.
But here, on the island of Koh Lanta, the slow-paced lifestyle which is just a stone throw away from the non-congested beach is where I can find myself relaxing, writing, and creating for weeks at a time. I say only weeks because the Thailand Visa for an American is 30 days per visit. And for these 30 days, I rise up every morning, and just take in the life I created, while avoiding any communication from the outside world for the first several hours to the start of the day. No engaging in texts or messages, no reading any news from back home which may bring about dreadful worries or concerns for the future of society and life, no social media at all. I look to FOCUS in the morning, to be in the moment, to concentrate and create with the divine capabilities of the universal mind. This is to realize myself and what I want. To focus on creating instead of reacting to the world around me.
It’s a beautiful way to live, and a life I wish everyone can experience because it will is unique and individualistic to each person. There’s an entire world out there to explore, experience, and traverse, yet so many people remain in their same home town, staying at a job they’re unhappy with, simply passing the time in order to escape boredom and monotony.
This is not a way to live and experience life. For some, it may be comforting and suitable, but for many, it lacks creativity, suppresses potential, and simply inhibits individuals from bringing forth into the world an abundance of love and value with which they’re capable of contributing to the world.
So that is why I chose to live below my means, in order to build and construct the desired life I sought to live every single day. Earning only a few thousand dollars every month is sufficient enough for me to support myself on my travels across the world. It gives me the capability to explore, live anywhere I want in the world, and to relocate in a moments notice. I am liquid like fluid, moldable like jello, and flexible like a yoga-master. This is the perfect life to me. This is what I have chosen. This is my life.
