“If you spend your time chasing butterflies, they’ll fly away. But if you spend your time making a beautiful Garden, the butterflies will come to you. “
“When you focus on improving yourself, everything you want will come to you. We attract based on who we are, not what we want. Don’t chase. ATTRACT!”
These words are something I must live by indefinitely in my life. Imagine how it would feel to have created something which brings me great financial abundance every single day in my life. That would mean building some sort of online portfolio or small business in which it produces me cashflow and money every waking day. Whether I sleep or not. Through putting in a few hours every single day to “water” and “tend” to the garden, I am able to produce valuable fruit with which I am able to live on from. The basic necessities we need in life are shelter, food, and water. Everything else is more or less a luxury. Complementing the necessities are relationships, friends and family. Otherwise, the only necessities for our survival truly are food, water, and shelter.
The only way to grow my garden is to put in the work. Without the work, the fruit will not prosper. A little bit of work every single day will bring about great prosperity within the garden itself. And if it doesn’t, then I can learn from the experience and figure out what I must change in order for the garden to blossom. This garden is a metaphor for anything that will produce financial abundance within my own life. That financial abundance can be as little as $500-$1000 per month, to $5,000+ every single month. It doesn’t have to be millions right away, but just enough to put a roof over my head while I travel, and to feed me in any country with which I find myself traveling in. That’s it to start. Then I am able to focus on the other areas of my life while making money. Taking care of my health with physical exercise, eating healthy, and then the skill with which will make me a more valuable person, such as learning a new foreign language.
As I sit in the room in Peru with which I return to often, I see how blessed the family is who rents out their home. They have a whole second kitchen and living space for them on the second floor, while the other rooms they rent out. Three downstairs, two on the middle floor, and two more on the third floor. They also all help each other run the Airbnb business. The parents and grandfather all help, and maybe even their daughter. I’m not sure everyone’s relationship to each other, but from the looks of it, it’s a family all living together, helping to support each other, while this “garden” gives them “fruit” (money) every month to live on. This is a beautiful way to live. They build memories, get to see each other everyday, and are earning money in the process. Now it is my turn to figure out what I must do to design, create, and blossom a garden of my own to live on, while sharing the fruit with those I love and care about in the process.
